Alexandria Nicole Cellars is so excited to be one of the featured locations in the “Back to Nature” article by By Nancy Keates. Read the full article here. Link to article

Below are a few excerpts from the article:

“Some outfits take visitors on roving trips, setting up the tents for them on 25,000- acre private ranches near national parks. Lori DeVore, a 48-year-old real-estate agent from outside Seattle, swore she’d never go back to sleeping bags on the ground. But on a wine-tasting tour of the Paterson, Wash.–based vineyards of Alexandria Nicole Cellars, DeVore and her husband saw the luxury canvas tents the winery put up last spring: At $150 a night, they contain a queen-size bed on a Persian carpet–covered wood floor. After a big dinner cooked by the winemakers, the DeVores made s’mores on an electric campfire outside their tent. The next day was spent wandering the vineyards and tasting wine out of the barrels. “It’s so much more comfortable,” she says of her weekend.”

DESTINY RIDGE VINEYARD
Paterson, Wash.
This winery along the Columbia River put up three canvas luxury tents last spring with Persian carpets, down duvets, a mini refrigerator, air-conditioning and a full tiled bathroom. “It was a good way for people to come drink, get to know the area and then not have to drive home,” owner Ali Boyle says. Activities include in-tent massages, fishing, kayaking, hikes and wildlife watching—and wine drinking.
